NJPW Dominion Postponed Until June 7th

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that their Dominion event, originally scheduled for June 6th, will now take place on June 7th. The Japanese government recently extended the state of emergency for Osaka.

The current COVID situation in Japan led to both Wrestle Grand Slam shows in Yokohama Stadium and Tokyo Dome being postponed indefinitely. Tokyo Dome is currently being outfitted as a vaccine distribution center.

Here is the full statement from NJPW:

As a result of the extension to the state of emergency in place in Osaka, and in compliance with restrictions on weekend events in the city, New Japan Pro-Wrestling has arrived at the decision to postpone Dominion in Osaka Jo Hall, which was originally scheduled for Sunday June 6.

The event will now take place on Monday, June 7 (Doors 5PM JST Start 6 PM JST).

New Japan Pro-Wrestling recognizes and deeply apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the sudden postponement. We humbly ask for your understanding. All tickets already purchased for the event will be valid. Please retain your ticket. Ticket holders are also eligible for a refund should they be unable to attend at the rescheduled date and time. More details will be made available soon.

Any tickets purchased from convenience stores and other outlets listed under the original date will also still be valid.

Events in other prefectures affected by states of emergency may also be subject to change. Please keep checking official news sources for more information.

Live, English coverage of Dominion will take place on NJPW World as scheduled.

Again, New Japan Pro-Wrestling deeply apologizes for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your understanding.

NJPW is currently set to return to action on NJPWWorld on June 1st with the Road to Dominion.
