Rey Fenix might be sitting on the sidelines for one of AEW’s biggest shows of the year.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Fenix is dealing with some undisclosed injuries, so he’ll miss the Double or Nothing pay-per-view later this month. Meltzer’s report didn’t provide a timeframe for Fenix’s recovery, as it’s unclear how severe his injuries are.

Fenix has dealt with these types of setbacks throughout his AEW run; last October, he was pulled from the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament. Likewise, Fenix was removed from the Casino Ladder Match in May 2020 when he took a rough bump on AEW Dynamite.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
