Tonight was the first night of the MLW 2021 Open Draft  and although there was only one new name revealed, it was a very familiar one in Davey Richard. She added that he now is going by the alias of Cesar Duran and is confirmed to be in attendance for the live tapings in Philadelphia on July 10. Atout then announced four names to be returning to the roster: The Von Erichs, Gino Medina and King Muertes.

The first new signee to MLW is Davey Richards. Alicia Atout spoke with Richards after it was announced and it was revealed that he’s been signed months ago with the company. He states that MLW fit his wrestling bill a bit more specifically because of it’s sports-oriented focus. Richards says he did have a tendency too go a little too much and after doing it for 12 years he needed to recharge the batteries. They’re now recharged. He makes note that he’s going to aiming for the MLW World Heavyweight Title. “They have the best competition. They have a very steep hill to climb,” he says. “I want to help this brand grow.”
