Tonight’s special Blood and Guts edition of AEW Dynamite opened with a tag team match between Eddie Kingston & Jon Moxley taking on Kenny Omega & Michael Nakazawa. Moxley and Kingston won the match, but they received a brutal ambush from The Elite after the bout.

After the duo threatened AEW World Champion Kenny Omega last week in order to get the match, Kingston and Moxley were ready for whatever the champion threw at them from the start. When Moxley and Omega finally met in the ring together, the two foes brawled ferociously. Moxley got the better of the champion early on by hitting a Bossman Slam and sending him to the floor. Late in the match, although Omega had a chance to get back into the ring, he refused to do so. Instead, he left his supposed friend on his own. Moxley and Kingston then picked up the easy victory.

Following the match, both the Young Bucks and the Good Brothers attacked Moxley and Kingston. With no one to help them, The Elite beat down the fan-favorite duo. Omega then came back to the ring and hit Kingston with an assisted One-Winged Angel to put an exclamation point on the beatdown.
