Kyle O’Reilly Defeats Adam Cole In Brutal Unsanctioned Match At NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver

Years of brotherhood and bloodshed came to a head at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver Night Two.

In the explosive main event, Adam Cole faced Kyle O’Reilly in an unsanctioned match. After a devastating war, O’Reilly emerged victorious.

The bitter enemies brought the fight to each other. The battle quickly spilled to the outside. O’Reilly briefly gained the upper hand, but he took a nasty fall to the floor. Cole took control and punished his former stablemate.

Cole brutally drove a chair into O’Reilly’s neck, determined to injure his opponent. The former NXT Champion talked some trash, but O’Reilly capitalized with a flurry of offense. He slammed his former friend spine-first onto a chair. O’Reilly then punched a chair into Cole’s face.

“The Panama City Playboy” dropped O’Reilly with a neckbreaker onto a steel chain. But O’Reilly kicked Cole with a chain wrapped around his foot. Both men continued to use the chain to punish each other, as Cole hit a backstabber with the chain to augment the impact.

Cole then drilled O’Reilly with a shining wizard while he was sitting on a steel chair. O’Reilly countered a Brainbuster into a guillotine choke to regain control of the match. He refused to hit a Brainbuster onto the stairs, but he blasted Cole with a boot to the face.

O’Reilly then hit a devastating Brainbuster onto the broadcast table. He stopped Cole from hitting him with a tire iron and blasted him with a clothesline.

O’Reilly used the chain to lock in a triangle choke, but Cole jabbed O’Reilly in the ribs with a tire iron to escape. Cole dropped O’Reilly with a low blow, and he trapped his opponent’s neck in a chair. He then dropped the referee when the official tried to stop him.

The former champion hit O’Reilly with Panama City Sunrise, but the referee couldn’t count the pin. He then threw the chair at O’Reilly’s unprotected face. O’Reilly roared back with a Guillotine choke, but both men crashed through the stage.

Cole crawled out of the hole in the stage, and he destroyed the stage so he could drag O’Reilly out. The two men crawled back to the ring, and Cole hit a sickening Brainbuster onto the steel stairs. He picked a helpless O’Reilly up, rolled him into the ring and pinned him, but O’Reilly somehow kicked out.

O’Reilly collapses when Cole went for one last shot, but O’Reilly countered a second attempt. Cole blasted O’Reilly in the face with a steel chain to escape a heel lock, but O’Reilly countered a Panama City Sunrise. He hit Cole’s own Last Shot knee to the head for a near fall.

In the end, Cole took too long to trash-talk, so O’Reilly hit him below the belt and nailed him with a chain-wrapped knee to the neck while Cole was on a chair. O’Reilly then pinned Cole to win the war.

Cole was taken out on a stretcher after the match.
