ROH Wrestling Results (4/5/21): Brian Johnson vs Danhausen

Jonathan Gresham and Jay Lethal hype up his ROH Pure Championship Match, which will air on the 500th episode of ROH Wrestling in two weeks.

In a pre-match promo, LSG looks at the lineage of the ROH World Television Championship. He says it’s a launchpad to the next level. LSG wonders where Isom has been, and he remembers how they faced off more than a year ago. But a lot has changed since then, and this match is taking place in a new era. LSG praises Isom’s athleticism, but he says he’s not quite ready for stardom. He says Isom will have to go through him in order to get to the title picture.

Isom says he and LSG know each other quite well. But he says he’s not the same kid he once was. Isom makes it clear that he’s chasing the gold, and he’ll go through anybody to get it. Isom says he won’t let anyone best him, and this division is his for the taking.

Eli Isom vs. LSG

Isom and LSG feel each other out with technical holds. Isom kicks LSG, but “The Ace of Space” sends Isom tumbling to the floor with a mid-air counter. LSG talks some trash and chops Isom. The competitors exchange strikes. LSG grounds Isom and plants him with a swinging neckbreaker. “The Ace of Space” suplexes Isom and maintains firm control of the match. Isom fires back with a neckbreaker.

Isom rallies and hits a springboard moonsault to the outside. He gets a near fall with a bridging German suplex. LSG counters The Promise (Brainbuster) and plants Isom with Rocjet by Baby. He hits a springboard forearm and a “Saint’s Flow-sion.”

Isom rolls through a crossbody and slams LSG out of a fireman’s carry. He spears LSG through the ropes, and both men crash to the floor.

Isom narrowly avoids getting counted out. He and LSG rock each other with forearms. LSG counters The Promise, but he hits it with another attempt to earn the win.

Winner: Eli Isom
