Sting On Doing More Cinematic Matches: I Would Like To, But They Take A Toll On The Body

At AEW Revolution, Sting impressed the wrestling world when he competed in a cinematic Street Fight alongside Darby Allin. During this memorable bout, the legendary star pinned Brian Cage for his first victory since 2015.

In the weeks that have followed, many fans have wondered what the future holds for Sting’s status as an active competitor.

In an interview with Chris Mueller of Bleacher Report, “The Icon” explained that he’s interested in doing more cinematic matches, but they’re physically demanding.

“The cinematic [match] was fun,” said Sting. “I would like to do more of those for sure, but I came out of it in shambles. It took its toll on me. It was two nights of filming and that was pretty tough. It can be taxing on the body especially at my age. It was 12 hours instead of being in the ring for 30-40 minutes. I love filming. I have done movies and TV, and I always have fun with that stuff. The tough part was all of the hours and the recovery time.”

For now, the wrestling world will simply have to wait and see where Sting goes from here.
