Orlando Colon, formerly known as WWE Superstar Epico, recently revealed what Andrade told him shortly before his WWE release.

During an appearance on Sportskeeda’s UnSKripted with Dr. Chris Featherstone, Colon described his friendship with Andrade and shared a conversation he had with the former WWE United States Champion just a few weeks before his departure from WWE.

“I’m happy for him [because he got released,]” said Epico. “You know, he’s put his time there, he’s put his time outside of WWE, he deserves a better spot and now doing his own thing, nobody can cut his wings off. Now, he can go fly high and do what he knows what to do best. Right now, he’s one of the best in the world. Second to none. On top of that, he’s one of my good friends.

“I was just talking to him today, cracking some jokes and just talking about his future and the future looks bright for him…. I saw him in Orlando two weeks ago, he was like, ‘Man, [they’re] not doing anything with me, it’s not about the money for me. It’s just a matter of following my dreams, and I hate sitting at catering and eating, same thing over every week.’ You know, it’s pretty toxic when you look at it that way.”
