Report: Andrade’s WWE Release Does Not Include 90-Day Non-Compete Clause

Andrade might not have to wait too long to work somewhere else, as it’s being reported that he doesn’t have a 90-day non-compete attached as a condition of his WWE release.

According to a new report from F4WOnline.com, his release from WWE does not include a 90-day non-compete, indicating he could start working for other promotions immediately. Andrade was released by WWE on Sunday night, confirming the move with a one-sentence statement:

“WWE has come to terms on the release of Andrade. We wish him all the best in all of his future endeavors.”

After it was reported earlier in the week, Andrade confirmed he’d asked for his release, posting the following statement on Thursday:

The rumors are true and I don’t know what the future holds but I want to make my dreams come true. thank you for giving me so much support these last days Los rumores son ciertos y no se lo que me prepara el futuro, pero quiero hacer realidad mis sueños. Gracias por tanto apoyo

He debuted with WWE on the NXT brand in January 2016 and later joined SmackDown (with Zelina Vega) after being moved in that year’s Superstar Shakeup. Prior to WWE, he was known as La Sombra and gained international fame as part of the CMLL roster in Los Ingobernables alongside Rush, Marco Corleone (Mark Jindrak) and La Máscara.
