Doug Williams is back!

Williams posted the following, announcing he’s coming out of retirement and taking bookings now:

The events of the past year has made me reassess my decision to retire as it made me understand that you should use your life to fullest doing what you enjoy. As such I am open to bookings again, email is in my bio…

Williams is well-known to fans for his work in Ring Of Honor and TNA Wrestling, winning championships in each promotion. Williams was the second-ever ROH Pure Champion, holding the title for 42 days. He also won the TNA Television Championship, TNA World Tag Team Championship with Brutus Magnus (aka Nick Aldis), and won the TNA X Division Championship twice.

Williams previously announced his retirement in 2018, working an advertised bout against Yoshinari Ogawa for Pro Wrestling NOAH. In that time he’s worked sporadically, appearing in seven matches. He was advertised for a few ROH appearances in 2020, including a ‘Past vs. Present’ match against Jonathan Gresham and as one of the participants in the Pure Championship revival tournament that was scheduled to start in April. Both events were ultimately cancelled due to COVID-19.
