Report: Asuka Sidelined Due To A Concussion

Asuka is reportedly out of action due to a concussion she sustained on RAW several weeks ago.

According to a report from F4WOnline.com, Asuka suffered a concussion on the February 22 episode of WWE RAW when she was kicked in the head by Shayna Baszler. At the time, it was known that Asuka’s tooth was knocked out as a result of the kick, and she also was seen having trouble focusing during the post-match segment with Charlotte Flair.

It was noted that the problem with concussions is that Asuka’s recovery time is very fluid considering what’s known about those injuries, in that she could be feeling fine one week but there could be long-term effects that aren’t seen until later. It was speculated that she could be back for WrestleMania 37, but it’s “not a sure thing.”

Asuka is the current WWE RAW Women’s Champion, but she doesn’t have a confirmed match at WrestleMania as of now. Multiple wrestlers, including Charlotte and Peyton Royce, have called out the champion in recent weeks, but WWE has not announced any plans for her title on television yet.
