ROH Wrestling Results (3/8/21): Jay Lethal vs. EC3 vs. Jay Briscoe vs. Matt Taven

Four Corner Survival Match For The Right To Challenge RUSH at the ROH 19th Anniversary Show: EC3 vs. Matt Taven vs. Jay Briscoe vs. Matt Taven

In pre-match promos, each man shares their thoughts about the match. Lethal says The Foundation is on a course to purify Ring of Honor by holding every title in every division. Lethal vows to rebuild ROH brick by brick because wrestlers must prevail.

Taven notes that it has been 16 months since he held the ROH World Championship, a symbol that showed him his sacrifices have been worth it. “The Trend” says that Vincent has been distracting him, but now he can focus on the title. Briscoe points out that you don’t have to get pinned to lose this match. He says that he’s going to give the people what they want: another Jay Briscoe title run.

The four men shake hands with each other at the beginning of the match, but Briscoe refuses to do so with EC3. Briscoe takes the fight to EC3 and chases him to the outside. Lethal and Taven go back and forth in the ring. Taven sends Lethal to the outside with a dropkick and follows him there. Briscoe takes both men down with a clothesline. EC3 takes control by grounding Briscoe in the ring. He turns Lethal inside out with a clothesline.

Taven hits Flight of the Conqueror onto Lethal and EC3. Briscoe drops Taven with a hurricanrana. Taven plants Briscoe with a neckbreaker, and EC3 resumes with fight with Briscoe. They trade blows, but Taven rocks Ec3 with a heel kick.

EC3 slams Briscoe and Lethal down while they superplex Taven. EC3 takes the advantage and talks some trash to Briscoe. He tells Briscoe to kick Briscoe while he holds him down, but Lethal refuses. EC3 powerbombs Taven onto Lethal to break up a Figure-Four. Briscoe unloads on EC3 and chases him to the outside again. They brawl all the way to the backstage area.

Vita VonStarr shows up at ringside, but Taven has Lethal on the ropes. He’s distracted by VonStarr, but he maintains control with the Kick of the King for for a two count. VonStarr distracts Taven again and leaves him vulnerable to a cutter from Lethal. The Lethal Injection on Taven earns Lethal the win.

Winner: Jay Lethal

Taven and Lethal shake hands after the match.
