William Regal wants to make certain that Santos Escobar shows up next week on NXT. The Cruiserweight Champion is set to face Karrion Kross next week, but the longstanding NXT GM decided to add some incentive on Kross’ behalf for the match.
Regal took to Twitter to announce that the bout will now be No Disqualification and if Escobar decides not to show up, he’ll be stripped of his Cruiserweight gold.
“In consideration of the difference in each competitors “interest” in their match I’ve decided to raise the stakes. Karrion Kross vs Santos Escobar will now be a No DQ match & if our Cruiserweight Champion does not participate, he will be stripped of his title & suspended,” Regal Tweeted.

On the latest episode of NXT, Regal already happened to make clear that Escobar’s belt would be taken from him if he didn’t show, but now the added stipulation makes matters even more unpredictable. Karrion Kross did appear on the episode with Scarlett at his side and let Escobar know that he would not survive their confrontation.
NXT has begun to lay the intrigue down for next week as Adam Cole revealed today that he’d address his treacherous actions against fellow Undisputed Era buddy, Kyle O’Reilly.
