Confidence is important to Vickie Guerrero and she noticed Tony Khan had it right from the get-go.
Guerrero was the latest guest on AEW Unrestricted with Tony Schiavone and Aubrey Edwards and she chatted about how she first came across All Elite Wrestling and the company’s owner, Tony Khan.
“I was a fan of the product when y’all were on TV since the middle of 2019 when you had to do PPVs and then y’all were doing the weekly shows. I was watching it,” Vickie said. “I was Tweeting ‘Got my popcorn and my beverage and I’m ready to watch AEW’ cause I loved it. I loved the entertainment and just all the YouTube content and I met Tony Khan, it was in Garland [Texas] when I got to personally meet him.”
Vickie made a few notes about what made her like Tony Khan right off the bat.
“He was just so personable and easy-going and he wasn’t in a suit. He has his phones and everyone’s pulling him at different angles, but I loved him and he smiles and he has eye contact. That was something that I really wanted to watch for when talking to him because I think it’s really important when someone has a lot of confidence in themselves and they mean what they say when they give you eye contact. He just took the time to sit and talk to me and make me feel comfortable and as we got to talk on the phone and interact in emails and stuff, I just, I was like, ‘I love this place so much.'”
