One of most impactful wrestlers to grace TNA’s Knockout Division is ODB and she joined up with a few familiar faces to recall her journey into IMPACT Wrestling.

ODB aligned with Gail Kim, Christy Hemme, Velvet Sky, Taryn Terrell and Brooke Tessmacher to look back on the history of Knockouts in a Roundtable conversation. ODB recalled how she was in Ohio Valley Wrestling when she first got the call from Terry Taylor in 2006 to come down to Nashville.

“Actually Triple H was there that night watching everyone. I was so nervous. I was like, ‘I gotta go up to him. I gotta go up to him.’ And I went up to Triple H, ‘Hey, I just wanted to introduce myself.’ He was like, ‘Oh, yeah. We love your character,’ and then I’m like, ‘Well, I got the call from TNA,’ he’s like, ‘Go there. It’s gonna be great for you. Go there.’ I’m like, ‘Well thank you for not being a douche and keeping me here,’ you know? So that was cool cause he was like, ‘We have nothing for you. They’re not interested,’ and I was like, ‘Awesome. Thanks for being honest, I like it.'”

ODB remembers the frustration she had at that point as she was half a decade in “making towns.”

“I was about six, seven years in and it was kind of like that time when you’re in that place. You’re like, ‘You know what? Am I ever gonna get a freakin’ job? Be working the indies for the rest of my life for a hot dog and a handshake.'”
