Tegan Nox Is ‘Way Ahead’ Of Where She Should Be In Rehabbing Third ACL Injury

Tegan Nox is in good spirits and making great progress despite a third ACL injury keeping her out of a WWE ring.

Nox appeared on The Bump on Wednesday to provide an injury update and said her recovery is going very well. Nox referred to her latest injury as her “ah, sugar” moment but added that she’s feeling stronger and it’s good to be walking without crutches.

“That was kind of a… ‘ahh, sugar!’ moment, but recovery is going really, really well. I’m way ahead of where I should be, which is good. It’s helped that I’ve gone through this three times now.”

It’s unclear when Tegan Nox will officially return to WWE, where she’s been a member of the NXT roster since 2017. She was originally scheduled to be in the inaugural Mae Young Classic in 2017, but tore her ACL for the first time and was replaced before the tournament began. She later appeared on WWE TV in the 2018 Mae Young Classic, making it to the third round of the tournament before she injured her knee a second time.

It was later learned that Nox not only tore her ACL again, but also injured her MCL and LCL. After rehabbing that injury, she returned in 2020 with a run highlighted by a NXT Women’s Championship match loss on July 15 to Io Shirai, but it was revealed in September she injured her knee for a third time.
