Apollo Crews Loves Big E But They Can’t Be Friends In The Ring

After teaming up with Big E to take down Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro, Apollo Crews quickly accepted Big E’s open challenge for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. In a backstage interview following that segment, Crews noted that his friendship with Big E doesn’t mean much when it comes to striving to become a champion.

Talking backstage, Crews briefly spoke about their tag team victory, before being asked about his upcoming match with Big E for the Intercontinental Championship. Crews said that he has a ton of love for Big E and respects him greatly, but he wants to be champion again and has to do whatever it takes to become it. He ended things by saying that in the wrestling ring friendships don’t matter, so it sounds as if Crews is ready for his title shot next week.
