The Street Profits Retain Tag Titles, But Have To Cheat To Win

Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured a big match for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships, with The Street Profits going up against Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode. In the end, The Street Profits retained their title, but had to resort to some underhanded tactics to do it.

Throughout most of the match, Ziggler and Roode controlled the pace and aggression in the match, and it looked like the duo would finally be on their way to realizing their aspirations of winning the tag team titles. However, late in the match, Montez Ford landed the Cash Out on Ziggler, and Roode was forced to get into the match to break things up. In the scuffle, Roode rolled up Ford and grabbed a handful of his tights to try and hold him in place, but Ford was able to reverse it and roll up Roode himself. With Roode rolled up, Ford grabbed some of Roode’s tights, and with the referee unable to see, The Street Profits won the match thanks to the pin.

For more on how the match ended, check out below:

Ford manages to tag in Dawkins, who clears the ring. Dawkins lands spinning splashes on Ziggler and Roode. Dawkins hits a spinning neck breaker on Roode for a near fall. Roode launches Ziggler in the air for a fameasser on Dawkins. Dawkins kicks out. Ziggler runs into a spinebuster on Ziggler. Ford hits the Cash Out. Roode breaks up the pin. Roode rolls up Ford with a hand full of tights. Ford reverses it into a roll up of his own. Ford grabs a hand full of Roode’s tights for the win.
