Kenny Omega and Good Brothers

Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers Face Rich Swann & MCMG At IMPACT Hard To Kill

UPDATE: A press release from IMPACT has both EVPs chiming in on the match:

IMPACT Wrestling Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore had the following reaction to the news. “We promised a can’t-miss episode of IMPACT Wrestling tonight – can anybody argue that we didn’t deliver? Challenge issued, challenge accepted. It is on! It is official! At Hard to Kill on January 16, two great champions – Rich Swann and Kenny Omega – will join two of the toughest tag teams in the world – the Machine Guns and the Good Brothers – and fight it out in an historic six-man tag match.”

Don Callis had a brief statement saying, “Once again, you’ve witnessed Kenny Omega and I writing history.”

Former members of the Bullet Cub are reuniting in IMPACT and will headline the promotion’s next pay-per-view on Jan. 16.

Tensions rose throughout the episode and came to a climax after Karl Anderson defeated Chris Sabin via a roll-up with a handful of tights. Omega would say Anderson is back after the win and celebrated with Callis. IMPACT Champion Rich Swann would start to berate Anderson backstage, which caused All Elite Wrestling champion Kenny Omega to come out of his bus and backstage. Things got physical and Omega plus a returning Doc Gallows would knockout both members of the Motor City Machine Guns and Rich Swann.

Callis then announced that a six-man tag would main event IMPACT Hard to Kill as Kenny Omega will team up with the Good Brothers to face Rich Swann and the Motor City Machine Guns.
