Keith Lee lost to The Miz and John Morrison in a handicap match on last night’s RAW. The result was a surprise as it has become common for WWE babyfaces to triumph over heels in handicap matches, and both Mr. Money in the Bank and “JoMo” have ate plenty of pinfalls lately. It turns out, this wasn’t the original plan.
PWInsider reports that Keith Lee was originally supposed to just face The Miz in singles action. However, it was later changed to the handicap match that viewers saw on RAW. One thing that stayed the same was the end result, which saw Lee take the pin. So, if anything, the handicap match softened the blow as Lee lost to two men rather than just one.
As for other notes on last night’s episode, Lana is said to be of TV for as long as “3-4 weeks.”
