Update: IMPACT Wrestling has confirmed Omega will appear on Tuesday’s broadcast; no other details about his appearance were given.

If you enjoyed AEW World Champion Kenny Omega shaking things up on IMPACT Wrestling this past Tuesday you can expect it to happen again, starting with next week’s show.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the new champ with indirect relations to “North Carolinaaaaaaaaaa” will be featured on this week’s upcoming episode. While it wasn’t directly stated, one would have to imagine Mr. Callis will be at his side.

In addition to that, Meltzer is also reporting that Omega will be headlining future IMPACT pay-per-views. A certain tease was already made in regards to that, as IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann was not allowed in the parking lot area for Josh Mathews’ tour bus sit-down interview with Omega until it concluded.

Meltzer also confirms in this week’s Observer that the wrap-arounds for this episode were taped on Saturday, December 5, mentioning commentary talking about Kenny’s upcoming appearance and the heart-to-heart Tommy Dreamer had with Scott D’Amore halfway through the episode. Swann did fight in the main event of this week’s IMPACT as he and Willie Mack took on Chris Bey and Moose, and Swann defends against Bey at Final Resolution this weekend.
