In a video package, The Foundation says Rhett Titus has done everything Ring of Honor has asked him to do. They say he is The Foundation, as he can run circles around everyone on the roster. The stable says no one takes Titus seriously, but they do. “You are The Foundation,” they tell him. Titus takes off the octopus mask and says he is the foundation.
In a video promo, Mark Briscoe says Jay is being stubborn, but he’s still locked on the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championship. Mark says he has found a partner, so he’s going to challenge for the gold. He reveals that his mystery partner is PCO.

In a video package, Tracy Williams says he planned to win the Pure Tournament, but he fell short of that goal. But he bonded with Jonathan Gresham, and they decided to rebuild Ring of Honor on the foundation of pure wrestling. He calls John Walters a legend and says he has always wanted to face Walters. Williams recaps how Walters was dethroned by Jay Lethal back in the day. “Hot Sauce” vows to earn a decisive win over Walters.
In a video promo, Walters looks back on his wrestling career. He says he won the ROH Pure Championship hoping to bring honor and prestige to the gold. He reflects on all the men he defeated and the movement The Foundation has started. Walters says he wants to be on the top of the new pure wrestling ladder. He says he can do everything Williams can.
Pure Rules: Tracy Williams vs. John Walters
Flip Gordon joins the broadcast team for this match, and they reveal that Gordon will challenge Gresham for the title at ROH Final Battle. Williams and Walters exchange technical holds. The match is a stalemate early on. Williams grounds Walters and targets his leg. Walters rallies and takes control. He takes Williams down with a chop block.

He continues to zero in on Williams’ leg. Walters locks in a Sharpshooter, but Williams reaches the ropes. Williams takes Walters down with a modified suplex off the top rope. He locks in the face-lock, but he reaches the ropes.
