The Undisputed Era battled Pat McAfee’s Kings of NXT at NXT TakeOver: WarGames. McAfee, Pete Dunne, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan hoped to end the Undisputed Era once and for all. Both teams collided in a WarGames Match. Kyle O’Reilly began the bout with Dunne. Lorcan entered the match, and Team McAfee took control. They double-teamed O’Reilly.

Bobby Fish rushed to the ring and cleared house. The Undisputed Era displayed their unparalleled teamwork throughout the match. Burch gave his team the advantage again, and he brought a cricket bat to the ring. Team McAfee brutalized the Undisputed Era with the bats.

Later, McAfee put a table for each member of the Undisputed Era in the ring. He sent Roderick Strong through a table with a moonsault. Finally, Adam Cole entered the match. He sprayed his opponents with a fire extinguisher and hit them with a chair. Cole rallied and helped his team regain the upper hand.

O’Reilly confronted McAfee with a chair and dared him to fight him. The match broke down into a brawl with both teams battling to gain control. Later, the Undisputed Era slammed Dunne onto Burch on a table. Strong drove them both through the table with a splash. Cole sent McAfee crashing through another table.

The Undisputed Era ganged up on McAfee, but his team rallied. McAfee did a Swanton Bomb off the cage onto everyone.

McAfee hit Cole below the belt, but Cole drilled him with a pump kick. Fish drove Burch through a table. Cole nailed McAfee with a superkick and hit a Panama Sunrise for a two count. Dunne drove Cole into a chair with a Bitter End. In the end, O’Reilly pinned Lorcan with a chair-assisted knee drop.
