WWE’s resident truth-teller and Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn gave a peek behind the curtain after he watched the latest documentary posted on the WWE Network, this one all about Liv Morgan. At the time that Sami was about to make his reemergence on WWE television, Liv had floated between several different creative ideas. Zayn revealed that he was pitching to have her join in on the “Great Liberator” gimmick that he’s currently using on SmackDown.
Really enjoyed #LivForever on @WWENetwork.
Fun fact, when I first started doing “The Great Liberator” I pitched hard to get @YaOnlyLivvOnce with me, but she got drafted to Raw. There is SO much to her. Can’t wait to see her one day become Womens Champ.

Liv was drafted to RAW instead, rejoining her former Riott Squad partner Ruby Riott and making a splash against the current Women’s Tag Team Champions. Still, one can’t help but wonder if her fortunes would have been better if she stayed on SmackDown and truly struck out on her own. A consistent character that’s not “Ruby Riott’s friend” would likely do wonders for the young star, especially considering how much support she has in the locker room.
