ROH Wrestling Results (11/23): EC3 vs. Jay Briscoe

A video package hypes up the looming return of John Walters.

Another video package previews Matt Taven’s match with Bateman. Taven says Vincent and Bateman aren’t men, and they’re avoiding what’s coming to them. Bateman warns Taven that he doesn’t want to face Vincent. Taven vows to get his vengeance.

Matt Taven vs. Bateman

Taven takes the fight to Bateman with some chops and rocks him with a kick. Bateman clobbers Taven with a clubbing blow and takes control. The bout is evenly matched, as both men exchange high-impact moves.

Taven locks in the Trendsetter (crossface), but Bateman reaches the ropes. The former world champion hits Flight of the Conqueror, but the landing hurts his knee. Bateman dodges a Frog Splash, but Taven rolls Bateman up for the win.

Winner: Matt Taven

Bateman attacks Taven after the match. Vincent comes to ringside and tells Taven that he looks too comfortable. Bateman plants Taven with This Is A Kill (Tombstone.) Vincent calls Taven embarrassing because he’s desparate for attention. He tells Taven that he’ll never get the approval he’s looking for. Vincent says Taven will go down as a failure. He prepares to stab Taven with a dart, but the lights go out. Mike Bennett is in the ring when the lights come back on. He drops Bateman with a superkick and sends The Righteous scrambling. Taven and Bennett embrace to close the show.
