Montez Ford Calls Facing The New Day A Dream Match

Hours before WWE Survivor Series, The Street Profits appeared on WWE’s The Bump, where they discussed their upcoming match with The New Day. In the interview, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins discussed how he looks up to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Here are some highlights:

Dawkins: “We’ve looked up to them since we’ve become a tag team. I mean, for me personally, I’ve known Woods for a while. Woods and [Big] E, we were all in developmental at one point in time together. E was kinda pretty much gone when I started, and then obviously the move to the Performance Center in Orlando, Woods was still around. So Woods was the guy to kind of, [take]me under his wing and show me how to be professional and how to roam around and how to work hard. They’ve played a lot in basically being our motivation and our inspiration.”

Ford: “This is like the pinnacle of everything me and Dawkins have worked for. As he said, these individuals have paved the way so much for us and given us so much to aspire and look up to.”

Lana also appeared on WWE’s The Bump to preview her match at WWE Survivor Series. She reflected on her streak of getting slammed through the broadcast table and the general perception of her position on Team RAW. Here are some highlights.

On getting slammed through the broadcast table:

Lana: “Definitely a lot of pain, I must say. My back is like constantly sore, but I’m ready. I am ready. I am ready. I am so freakin’ ready. I’m excited. I’m so thankful. I’m gonna go out there and I’m gonna prove everyone wrong.”

“In some shape and form, I’m like, ‘Is this my karma? Is this, going through all these tables, is this because I have made so many bad life choices that I just have to take [it]? And you know, if that’s the case, I have to say, first of all, I’ve learned my lesson, I’ve learned so many lessons this year.”

“I might still have some scars on me from the tables from the divorces, from different situations but you know, that’s what’s gonna make me who I am….I’m just gonna show them that I did earn my spot, I belong and I’m gonna be the Sole Survivor.”
