Drew McIntyre Attacks Randy Orton, Fends Off The Miz’s MITB Cash-In Attempt

WWE Champion Randy Orton kicked off WWE RAW this week to address the multiple contenders vying for his title. He reflected on his victory at WWE Hell in a Cell saying, “I proved that I am the best of the best.” He said he’s better than the best wrestlers in WWE history. Orton denied that his pedigree is the reason he has been given opportunities. Instead, he simply said he’s the best. “I am no longer the Legend Killer,” said Orton. “I am now simply a legend.”

He then dared anyone in the back to try and take his title. Alexa Bliss came to the ring and stared at Orton. He asked her to tell him where The Fiend is. She showed him her “Pain” hand. The Fiend’s music played, but he was nowhere to be seen. Drew McIntyre came out of nowhere and dropped Orton with a Claymore. McIntyre then grabbed the WWE Championship and demanded a rematch.

The Miz and John Morrison rushed to the ring and tried to cash in the Money in the Bank contract. But McIntyre drove them both out of the ring and prevented the cash-in.

Backstage, The Miz and John Morrison challenged McIntyre to a two-on-one handicap match.
