In a recent interview with Bleacher Report, WWE’s Paul Heyman spoke about a wide variety of topics, including his brief run as Monday Night RAW’s executive director. However, Heyman wouldn’t go into too much detail regarding his role as director, instead stating that out of respect for his role, it would be better to keep things confidential.
“In the 50 or so weeks that I was the executive director of Monday Night Raw, I never discussed being the executive director of Monday Night Raw,” Heyman said when asked about his role. “The reason why is because when you’re in that position, you’re privy to the top echelon, inner-sanctum of the inner workings of WWE.”Along with that position comes an expectation of confidentiality and secrecy. I never violated that confidentiality or secrecy while executive director, which is why I didn’t do any interviews while executive director.”I won’t discuss anything I did as executive director, whether it’s something worthy of praise or criticism, because I will respect the responsibility that I had to keep everything that I did as executive director secret or confidential, whether that’s in the face of criticism or praise that has been bestowed upon me.”
Heyman’s run as RAW’s executive director ended about a year after it began, as he was fired from the position in June. However, Heyman has since been thriving with the company, taking Roman Reigns on as his newest “client” and helping him become “The Tribal Chief” en route to another dominating run on Friday Night SmackDown.
