Deonna Purrazzo On The Importance Of Building Her Own Brand, Having Security With IMPACT Wrestling

Deonna Purrazzo was one of this week’s guests on the IMPACT Press Pass call and she was asked by WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard about being able to market herself with IMPACT in addition to the in-ring opportunities she’s provided. The current Knockouts Champion has already established herself as a great wrestler and character as “The Virtuosa”, so much of her decision to sign with IMPACT long-term was about building a brand and security? Citing The Good Brothers as a prime example of executing that vision, Purrazzo agreed with being able to branch out and agreed that IMPACT gives talent a platform to establish themselves in many ways.

“That is so important to me, and I think that as professional wrestlers and individuals that are looking for new opportunities to build our own brands and be successful in new avenues, IMPACT is one of the few places that lets all of its talent do that.” Purrazzo explained. “We can explore other ventures while continuing to build ourselves as professional wrestlers. For me, that means everything, to have the security long-term as a professional wrestler but also the ability to explore other projects and explore who I am outside of wrestling as well.”

Last month, Fightful reported IMPACT offered Purrazzo a long-term contract, two months after winning the Knockouts Championship. The report noted an offer was made when rumors began to swirl that The Virtuosa was planning on leaving the company in October. Other prominent members of the roster currently working without a contract are Alex Shelley (who holds one half of the IMPACT Tag Team Championships) and EC3.
