When Seth Rollins was drafted to Friday Night SmackDown, he thought he had seen the last of the Mysterio family, but later in the night his longtime rivals were also drafted to the blue brand. Backstage, Rey Mysterio and his son caught up with WWE, where he said he was excited to be back at SmackDown with his son, and has his eyes set on championships in the future.
When asked what it means for his family to be back on SmackDown, Rey was elated, reminiscing back to the days of SmackDown Six. Mysterio then said it was incredible to be back on the brand with his son, especially after he was a bit nervous that he and his son would be split up in the draft. After his son spoke about how great it was to share the ring with him on both brands, Rey then said that the duo was striving for gold, and had title opportunities in mind, with the hope that they can one day win the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships set as the goal.
