Mike Bennett Challenges NWA Champion Nick Aldis To Title Match

Mike Bennett is set to make a major wave in the National Wrestling Alliance after being released by WWE. Bennett put out a video challenging NWA World Champion Nick Aldis to a match on Sept. 15, which would be the night that the company’s weekly pay-per-view series kicks off.

“It’s time to take back what’s mine,” Bennett said in an edited video. “My name is Mike Bennett, do you hear me? I’ve been a professional wrestler for 20 years … It’s time to prove to anyone that has ever believed in me that you are 100 percent correct and the only way to do that is to hit the ground running.

“Here’s what I’m going to do. You don’t have to accept this if you don’t want to, but I know you feel the same way I do. I know you were perceived some way for the longest time and it ate you alive, so I know you know exactly what I am going through. Nick Aldis, September 15, I want the NWA Heavyweight Championship. I need to restore dignity to my family. I need it to restore honor to my name.”
