Chris Jericho Says ‘NXT Reject’ Acted As A Spy And Leaked AEW Dynamite Spoilers

Le Champion found the mole.

Chris Jericho says All Elite Wrestling knows who leaked spoilers for a recent set of AEW Dynamite tapings and referred to the culprit as an “NXT reject” and a spy. Jericho made the reference on the latest episode of his Saturday Night Special live stream after a fan had asked him about maintaining character as a babyface or heel. Jericho said it’s a little easier to relax on social media since it’s a smaller pool compared to the overall people watching on TV before bringing up Eric Bischoff’s leaked appearance two weeks ago.

“For example, when we had the debate and Eric Bischoff was announced on Reddit — and we know the spy is, by the way. Oh, we know. He’ll never fucking be back in AEW. NXT reject was a spy, so print that.

I was like, listen, we can announce this or we can just not announce it and don’t worry about it and see, you know, the people that know will know and maybe they’ll watch if they weren’t going to and the people that don’t know will still be surprised. And that’s exactly what happened. People were super surprised that Bischoff was there and it worked out great.”

Jericho closed that portion of the show by saying even if you’re still proper popular you still need to ‘show your ass’ to the babyfaces.

Bischoff’s appearance was leaked a week ahead of the broadcast by a Reddit user; another poster also leaked rumored results from this Saturday’s upcoming broadcast.

Bischoff spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard after his AEW Dynamite appearance as the special guest moderator in the Super Wednesday Debate and explained how the segment was pitched to him. Bischoff says he enjoyed his return to TNT and spoke about the spoilers leaking, as well as noting the Dynamite appearance was a one-time deal, comparing it to a “cameo” role.
