Mae Young Classic Competitor Vanessa Kraven Retires

Women’s wrestling has lost a hidden gem. In a post on Twitter, Vanessa Kraven stated that she would not return to wrestling when the indie scene reopened and that she was selling her remaining wrestling merchandise to fans via her Facebook page:

Kraven gained the most notoriety as a competitor in 2018’s rendition of WWE’s Mae Young Classic, battling in the first round against Lacey lane. Kraven is a sixteen-year veteran of the indie circuit with several championships under her belt, including a Shimmer Tag Team Title reign with Tessa Blanchard. She was also the first winner of the Queen of the Death Matches tournament in IWA-Mid South and had several tours in Japan.
