WWE Cancels Washington, D.C. RAW Taping Set For Sept. 21

WWE and the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. announced today that the WWE RAW event on Sept. 21, 2020, is no longer happening.

The only aspect of this news that should come as a surprise is that it wasn’t cancelled yet. The Capital One Arena was originally booked as the venue for the WWE SmackDown taping on Aug. 7 but was then changed to a RAW taping a month later. Obviously, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, live events with fans aren’t possible right now. It seems that the shows will be taped at the WWE Performance Center, like WWE has done for most of the year.

Capital One Arena’s website notes:

The WWE Monday Night Raw scheduled for Monday, September 21 has been canceled.  Refunds will be processed automatically.  If you do not receive your refund within 30 days, contact Ticketmaster Customer Service at (800) 653-8000 or the Capital One Arena Box Office via email  All other refunds available from original point of purchase.
