Adam Cole is sick of Pat McAfee’s constant insults.

Cole was an unadvertised guest on today’s episode of the Pat McAfee Show and while the show started off on the right foot, things quickly got heated after McAfee took a few sly digs at the former NXT Champion.

McAfee and Cole (who have traded jabs over the years) talked about a number of topics including Cole’s journey through the independent scene to WWE, but things started to get tense once McAfee brought up the comparisons to Shawn Michaels and how Cole would agree that he’s nowhere near the talent that Michaels was.

McAfee: “I think you, as a student of the business, would understand that you’re nowhere near what Shawn Michaels was but that has to be pretty good to be in the same breath as a man that you have a lot of respect for.”

Cole: “All things considered with what you just said—Shawn Michaels himself has said there’s a lot of comparisons between the two of us, which to me is a huge compliment. Let me finish—I feel like you’re going to cut me off.

“By any means, I have never said that I am as good as Shawn Michaels. I know I have years and years to get to that point. I think Shawn recognizes that I’m on my way to maybe someday having a career like his, but he’ll tell you and I’ll tell you that I’m not worried about being the second coming of Shawn Michaels. I’m going to be the first Adam Cole, so I really don’t know what you’re trying to say.”

Cole said McAfee claims he’s trying not to offend him but that’s what happened, then McAfee took it a step further and said Michaels made his own name where Cole needed help from The Undisputed Era to succeed.

The two kept going at each other from there by insulting each other’s respective professions, with Cole finally losing his temper and knocking over a mic stand after McAfee said he couldn’t win on his own because of how small he was. Cole got in McAfee’s face and proceeded to drop a few f-bombs on his way out, leaving the host stunned.

It might have been a setup (or not), but the segment definitely made for some good entertainment. Check out the full video (with Cole’s appearance starting at the 1:59:00 mark) below:
