Eddie Edwards wants to bring stability and credibility to the IMPACT World Championship.
The newly crowned champion promised to be a fighting champion going forward and that will result in an open challenge happening each week. His speech announcing this was interrupted by Eric Young, who returned to the promotion at Slammiversary. Edwards said that Young deserves an ass whooping for what he did to Rich Swann and he’s happy to give it to him. While a match wasn’t had, Edwards attacked Young until officials ripped them apart.
Edwards will take on Trey next week for his first open challenge.
