He gave Dolph Ziggler credit for choosing a clever stipulation. “Dolph Ziggler almost had me,” said McIntyre. But the champion pointed out that Ziggler didn’t get the job done. McIntyre pointed out that WWE SummerSlam is almost here, and he wants an opponent fit for the event. Ziggler interrupted the champion and said he knew McIntyre was scared last night. Ziggler pointed out that he was so close to victory at WWE Extreme Rules. McIntyre refused to give Ziggler a rematch.

The champion tried to leave, and he dropped Ziggler with a Glasgow Kiss when Ziggler grabbed him. “The answer is no,” said McIntyre. Ziggler begged McIntyre for another shot and let him pick the stipulation this time. McIntyre accepted the challenge, but refused to reveal his stipulation.

Later in the show, the announcers confirmed that McIntyre will defend the title against Ziggler next week on WWE RAW.
