EC3 Returns To IMPACT Wrestling, Appears At Slammiversary

Following tonight’s chaotic ending to IMPACT Slammiversary, EC3 showed up to close out the show and now we know he will be appearing on this Tuesday’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling.

After Eddie Edwards survived a brutal five-way match to become the new IMPACT World Champion, The Good Brothers arrived to help him survive an attack from Madman Fulton. As the three celebrated in the ring with beers, “III” appeared on the screen, and we got a glimpse of EC3 with a glass of whiskey in his hand.

After turning around, he promptly threw the glass against the wall, closing out the show. It was teased shortly after that EC3 would be appearing on the upcoming episode of IMPACT Wrestling, so we’ll be seeing him again very soon.

WrestleZone recently spoke with EC3, who has captured the wrestling community’s attention with his unique “viral” style promos as he waits to make his next move. EC3 said he doesn’t want wrestling to be too dependent on nostalgia, but explained that while he’s putting his past behind him he would rather see wrestling’s past dissipate rather than disappear completely.

“I feel like we’ve been seeing that for my entire career and I get it. There’s so many people that I’d like to work with because there’s such a vast wealth of knowledge about how things used to be” EC3 said, “but at what point are we going to get past nostalgia and move forward? That’s one thing I’d like to see.”

“Another thing? I see everybody doing everything the same. So this isn’t my high horse preach that I want to see people do other things, because I don’t control their narrative, I control my narrative—#ControlYourNarrative, that’s why it’s a t-shirt on freeec3.com. I will be in control of what I do and by doing that I will do what I want to do, what I think is the best. I may be right, I may be wrong, but I’ll be authentically myself doing it. I would like to see less conformity, but at the same time, if everyone’s conforming to one thing that’s what makes me so different on the other end,” EC3 said. “Wrestling is a variety show, you have different flavors of ice cream. You’ve got different meals, it’s a great dinner but not everyone should be the same. The lack of nostalgia and conformity, but at the same time I don’t mind if people are conforming because that just makes me different.”
