Keith Lee was riding high following his NXT Championship victory last week, and tonight, he kept that joy going, as he challenged his longtime “frenemy” Dominik Dijakovic to a match for both belts.
During the match itself, Lee nearly came close to losing the belt a handful of times, as Dijakovic was clearly giving it his whole. At the end of the day, though, Lee was able to retain both of his belts after overpowering Dijakovic, lifting up and slamming him down with his finisher for the victory. Following the win, Lee helped up Dijakovic, and the two shook hands and embraced before the lights went out.
Once they came back up, a spotlight appeared on the ramp, illuminating Scarlett, who walked down to the ring with a bag in her hand. When she got to the base of the ring, she emptied the bag into the ring, dumping broken clock parts and loose sand in front of Lee, signifying that Karrion Kross is now on the hunt for him. After the match, NXT confirmed that next week, Kross would be taking on Dominik Dijakovic in a match.
