Roderick Strong wasn’t brave enough to get into the ring against Dexter Lumis last week, but he finally overcame his fear at NXT Great American Bash, where he stepped up to face Lumis in NXT’s first-ever Strap Match. Unfortunately, Lumis once again showed how scary he was, coming out with a win.
Although Strong was a bit hesitant to get into the ring, he eventually did, and managed to hold his own against Lumis for most of the match. However, towards the end of the match, Lumis was able to overcome Strong, including avoiding interference attempts from Bobby Fish, who came down to try and help Strong. After avoiding more distractions, Lumis was able to catch Strong slipping, when he hit his opponent with a powerful slam for the win.
