Nikki Cross And Alexa Bliss Reflect On Their Team, Cross Vows To Defeat Bayley

Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss appeared on this latest episode of WWE’s The Bump. The duo discussed several topics, ranging from Nikki Cross’ upcoming match with Bayley to the team’s history. Here are some highlights:

On earning a SmackDown Women’s Championship Match:

Cross:”It feels awesome, it’s called Extreme Rules: The Horror Show, so I don’t really know what to expect. I’m looking at scary costumes, I’m going to scare Bayley and then win her SmackDown Women’s Championship, so I’m very excited.”

Bliss’ Advice for Nikki:

Bliss: “I would say, with Bayley and how she is now, especially being associated with Sasha for as long as she has, I would say just watch your back, you know? You can’t expect anything to be out of the ordinary, and you know, sometimes Bayley can take a cheap shot to try and win, and I know that because I used to be that way, so I mean, who better to give you advice than someone who used to be like Bayley?”

On their team:

Bliss: It’s been amazing, and it’s been a lot of fun, and you know, I love the friendship and relationship that we’ve built based on being tag team partners and the friendship that we’ve built traveling together, and it’s been a lot of fun, and I couldn’t ask for a better tag team partner. And I’ve never been in the tag division before, so this has been amazing, and it’s awesome and I love it.”

Cross: “I’ve never really been a tag team wrestler, so getting to figure things out together with Alexa has been awesome so yes, it’s been an amazing year, and I can’t wait to see where we go next.”

On WrestleMania 36:

Cross: “You know, no one will ever forget WrestleMania 2020, this will be a WrestleMania that no one will ever forget, and to be placed in that position where we opened the show, we became the first ever two-time Women’s Tag Team Champions, it was a rewarding feeling, the fact that we opened that night and we were trusted in that position, it was such an amazing feeling, and then I get to look back on that with such, I don’t know, fondness? Like I said, it’s a WrestleMania that no one’s ever, ever going to forget.”

Bliss: “It was amazing, it was a lot of fun, and you know, the fact that we got to, you know, have the match with the Kabukis, I love having matches with them because they are so, so talented, and they just have such a different style, and it’s always to interesting and so much fun to have matches with them and yeah, I mean opening up the most unique WrestleMania to date, there has to be a lot of trust there, and the fact that we had that trust is incredible. And it was a lot of fun.”
