Number One Contenders Tournament: Michael Elgin vs. Trey
Trey and Elgin trade submission hold. Elgin runs over Trey. Elgin lights Trey up with a stiff chop. Trey tries a go behind but Elgin reverses it. Trey tries a springboard but Elgin puts on the breaks. Trey adjusts and hits a springboard ranna instead. Elgin ends up outside of the ring. Trey manages to hit a slingshot DDT out on the floor. Trey sends Elgin back into the ring. Trey follows that with a moonsault. Elgin counters Trey’s leapfrog into a gut buster. Underhook backbreaker by Elgin. Trey kicks out. Elgin works over Trey. Trey musters up a brief comeback before walking into a head kick by Elgin. Trey escapes the Elgin bomb.
Elgin tosses Trey into the air but Trey manages to hit a double knee strike. After the break, Trey lands a low cutter for a near fall. Elgin almost counters Trey’s avalanche ranna but Trey is able to take Elgin off the top. Trey knees his way out of Elgin’s deadlift suplex. Trey crushes Elgin with an avalanche double knee strike off the top. Trey dives off the top but Elgin catches Trey with a sit-out powerbomb. Trey kicks out. Elgin is about to set up the Elgin Bomb but Sami Callihan hacks the feed and cuts the arena lights off. When the lights come back on, Trey rolls up Elgin for the win.
Winner- Trey
After the match, Elgin destroys the ringside area in frustration.
