Before the action gets underway, get caught up with this AEW “Road To” video:

The show opens up with the Inner Circle arriving in a limousine promising to tear apart The Elite tonight.

Jon Moxley vs 10

A match with the sole purpose of getting Mox over I’m putting over his anger toward Brodie Lee and Dark Order. 10 gets offense in but MOX eventually tears him apart and beats him with the Paradigm Shift DDT.

WINNER: Jon Moxley

After the match, Jon Moxley threatens to break the arm of number 10 unless Brodie Lee comes out to save him. Lee would appear on the big screen and say that everybody has to make sacrifices and that he would see Moxley on Saturday. Moxley goes on to break the arm of 10.

MJF vs. Marko Stunt

At the start of the match, while Jim Ross paid tribute to Shad Gaspard, Marko Stunt went for a body slam and got countered and was body-slammed by Maxwell Jacob Friedman instead. MJF would lock Stunt into a bear hug, and Mr. Fun Size would get out with an ear clap and try a sunset flip pinning combination but MJF would catch him and deliver an overhead belly-to-belly. Maxwell would continue to heel on him before leaving him to Wardlow as he distracted the referee. A hair whip launched Marko to the other side of the ring.

A little bit down the line, Marco would gain control with some Looney Tunes action essentially being Bugs Bunny to Maxwell Jacob Friedman’s Elmer Fudd, but MJF quit playing around and hit him with a butterfly shoulder breaker before transitioning into the Fujiwara armbar for the submission victory.

WINNER: MJF

After the match, Maxwell verbally berated Marko and then punched him in the head with the diamond ring before Jurassic Express came to the rescue.

Jake Roberts and Arn Anderson go face-to-face

Two masters of the microphone from years past traded barbs. Arn Anderson promises to spinebuster Jake and shove his head up his ass but he also says that Mike Tyson will have free roam around the ring Saturday and then the two men get up and have to be separated by referees.

PAC returns to television for the first time in months via a vignette where he warns orange Cassidy

Orange Cassidy vs. Fenix

A back-and-forth match, with orange Cassidy showing more wrestling ability than he typically does. Kip Sabian out with a ladder and Rey Fenix wins with the low blow into a cutter.

WINNER: Fenix

After the match, all announced competitors for the ladder match on Sunday, except Luchasaurus and Allin, take turns diving onto one another. Cabana, Rey Fenix, And Cassidy all almost wiff on their dives.

Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida vs. Britt Baker and Nyla Rose

Before the bell, all women brawl and when the bell rings, Nyla and Statlander are legal. Stadtlander goes after Baker and is on the receiving end of a pounce by the women’s champion. During a picture and picture commercial break, there is tension shown between Nyla Rose and Britt Baker because Britt doesn’t want to tag in. Ultimately, Nyla would put away her Challenger on Saturday with her sit-out powerbomb.

WINNER: Nyla Rose and Britt Baker

After the match, Nyla Rose tries to continue her table trend but ends up going through the table herself courtesy of a superplex by Hikaru.

A MOX vignette…

Shawn Spears cuts a promo on Dustin Rhodes saying he retired and then challenged him to a match… okay? The match has been made official.

Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara

Matt Hardy wins with a twist of fate after about 10 minutes of a back-and-forth match. Jericho appeared on the big screen and the Inner Circle was beating down Kenny Omega. Finally, the Young Bucks and Adam Page returned and cleared the football field where all ten men will do battle on Saturday, but keeping in line with the storyline from months ago, hangman immediately walked away after doing what he came to do.
