MLW Fusion Recap: CONTRA Unit Executes A Complete Hostile Takeover

This week’s episode of MLW Fusion ended with quite the invasion going down as the dreaded CONTRA Unit took over operational aspects of the company and bloodied up both CEO Court Bauer and number one contender for the MLW World Heavyweight Champion, Davey Boy Smith Jr.

Josef Samael closed out the show by stating that CONTRA has conducted a takeover after weeks of warning that such an intrusion was going down. The MLW has since got some order of the company’s operations back in the proper hands. The following announcement was posted on the league website:

MLW.com can confirm several operational aspects of the league have been “paralyzed” since Saturday’s CONTRA attack that hit both the Super Series in Mexico as well as MLW headquarters.

MLW broadcasting abilities are compromised with limited ability to broadcast.

We are told league officials are working with its network partners remotely to continue providing programming like the MLW Anthology series.

The future of MLW FUSION broadcasts remains unclear under CONTRA Unit’s occupation. With the “international dealers of violence” now having a fully operational broadcast setup, it is likely we will more rhetoric from CONTRA in the weeks and months ahead.

League officials have confirmed MLW.com was briefly hacked but is now operational.

MLW social media remains compromised but league officials hope to have control back shortly.

Chatter of CONTRA Unit planning “something big” had increased with MLW.com breaking the news mere hours before the final stage of the MLW x AAA Super Series on Saturday night.

Now the international cabal vows to rebuild MLW in CONTRA’s image under their rule, proving their rhetoric of a war has been realized.

The league finds itself unexpectedly in flux from the attacks, unable to operate as it had in the past.

Details are still being gathered on the severity of injuries and state of the league.

Presently the Sentai Death Squad are on guard outside MLW headquarters where Samael and others are believed to be.

Details on the condition of those in Mexico remains unclear but several are in “serious condition” while the New York staff and crew members are currently being treated an undisclosed Westchester medical facility.

MLW.com will update as information becomes available.

Fusion did close out its fifth and final phase of the AAA MLW Super Series as Los Parks took on Psycho Clown, Psicosis and Nino de Hamburguesa in trios action to determine the final score of the series, with MLW holding a 4-3 lead over AAA. Full results and full video of Fusion below:

MLW FUSION #109

According to Psycho Clown, the best psychopath in wrestling is none other than himself and he plans to show that to Los Parks in the main event of the AAA MLW Super Series.

It’s stage five of the Super Series and trios action will be a deciding factor in the inaugural run of the event!

LA Park is backstage in light blue with his son El Hijo de LA Park and he makes it known that they’re interested in those MLW Tag Team Titles.

We see Pagano backstage and he reitierates that there is no party without a clown.

It’s a brand new episode of “Lifestyles of The Rich & The Dynastic” and the trio are in Bucksnort, TN scoping out Mance Warner’s stomping grounds. Richard Holliday is more than appalled at the vile enviroment while Gino Medina is concerned about the looming presence of “meth gators.” Holliday suddenly gets concerned for the whereabouts of Hammerstone who is preoccupied with a family of raccoons before the three make their exit.

Speaking of Hammerstone, we see an irate Mance Warner. He wants Dynasty to bring all the gold to him and mentions the dreaded triple tower cage akin to those late WCW Nitro days. Ol’ Mancer came into MLW to hit the pay window and on this night next week, Savio’s gonna get his gold back and Mance will get Medina’s watch. He wants “three “motherf*ckin’” cages.

Main Event

Nino de Hamburguesa, Psicosis & Psycho Clown vs. Los Parks

It’s the long-awaited return of LA Park in MLW and you can feel the excitement in the Tijuana air as the star power is major in this match.

The fight starts and Los Parks immediately take control by brawling with their opponents.LA Park takes it to Psycho Clown on the outside sends him into the barricade before battling their way into the crowd. El Hijo and LA Park Jr. take chairs to Nino and Psicosis. LA Park returns with a fancy bar table and crashes it into Psicosis. Psycho Clown soon feels the same wrath. The LA Park fam really let Nino have it as they top rope powerbomb him on top of the table (which doesn’t break!)

Los Parks continue their dominance with the use of weaponry as a box of beer bottles and a industrial trash can get introduced into the bout. They strip the shirt off of Nino and whip a belt across his back.

They have Nino down and LA Park readies himselve to slap it across the belly of Nino, but Park hesitates before slapping it hard with his belt. They all take turns chopping at Nino, but he manages to shoulder tackle LA Park Jr.

They isolate El Hijo and wedge a chair into his nether region before doing the same to LA Park Jr. The three take a moment to celebrate as LA Park enters the ring.

The Tijuana crowd is really behind Psycho Clown. LA Park slugs Psycho Clown down and sends him into the corner, but Psycho recovers and hits two cross bodies onto Park before hitting a dropkick. A pin attempt gets broken up by LA Park’s boys by accidentally elbow dropping their pop when Psycho moves out of the way. Nino then splashes them all!

All three Parks are in the corner and Nino cannonballs the heck out of all three. A simultaneous pin attempt, bur Los Parks kicks out.

Psicosis and El Hijo are in the spotlight which is highlighted by El Hijo executing a facebuster in the corner. Nino makes the save and delivers a headscissor combo to both boys.

LA Park Jr and Nino go at it as Nino leg drops on LA Park Jr.. LA Park kicks the ref’s hand to break it up.

LA Park and Psycho square off in a duel of taunts which the crowd is fully behind. Hard shots traded and the powerful Park slugs Psycho down to the mat. A near fall.

A discus clothesline and spinning heel kick does the same to Park. The two continue their offense on one another and Park feeds his knees to Psycho off the ropes, but the pin gets interrupted by Psicosis who takes over. A dropkick to the chest doesn’t take Park out but the legend hits a spinning heel kick to his old rival and Park goes to the outside. This leads to an Asai moonsault by El Hijo and soon the only man left in the ring is Nino. It’s not long before he dives to the outside, but that happens to hit the wrong targets as Los Parks move out of the way. Los Parks get Psicosis back in the ring and the three help deliver an assisted German suplex to him. The three count is more than there, but the referee takes his very sweet old time, In comes Pagano to smack them all with a chair. The referee pulls the weapon from Pagano and Park punches Pagano out of the ring before spearing Psicosis for the 1-2-3! MLW wins the Super Series 5-3!

WINNERS: Los Parks

Bocchini makes note of AAA’s interest in having a round two of the Super Series this time take place in the States and expresses MLW’s gratitude to AAA for being such a gracious host.

The feed cuts and we are in the stairwell. There is a chilling image waiting for us as Davey Boy Smith Jr. is beaten to a bloody pulp with the CONTRA flag draped over his motionless body.

We see the feed cut once more to Josef Samael. He warned that a war was coming. For a year, he promised a reckoning and ow it comes with a final warning. From Mexico to New York, a hostile takeover is underway as Samael states he is in New York while CONTRA’s crusaders are striking in Mexico.

Josef says they have “broken the Bulldog” as we see more detailed footage of Davey Boy possibly crippled.

A beaten and bloody Court Bauer is off screen. CONTRA has attacked MLW at the arena. Countless wrestlers have been taken out. Josef now claims he sits in the throne. holds the proverbial keys. The days of MLW Fusion are over, the rise of MLW is over.

MLW will be rebuilt and the darkness will take hold. A new season of violence and terror begins tonight. The feed cuts as the fate of the League is in unsettling limbo.
