Rusev Sports A New Look, Says He’s Becoming A Twitch Streamer

One of the biggest stars let go by WWE in their recent cuts was Rusev. The former Bulgarian Brute still had enormous potential in WWE, and his big storyline with Bobby Lashley seemingly fizzled out without a good resolution. Despite no longer having an in-ring career, Rusev looks to transition into a different kind of performance. In an Instagram broadcast earlier today, the wrestler vowed to enter the world of Twitch streaming:

So, this is the deal. I got fired, right? Professional wrestling, blah, blah. Who cares? Exciting news is going on … We’re going to start a Twitch channel pretty soon because I want to show you all how good I am at video games.

Will Rusev become a full-time influencer in the world of video games and leave wrestling behind? Probably not. Is this a great way to stay connected with fans while his contract’s non-compete clause runs out? Yes. Yes, it is. Rusev unboxed his new PC in the 20-minute video and talks about a few other things while he unboxes things. Near the end, Rusev thanks his viewers, promises a future appearance on Ryback’s podcast as a favor and claims that he’ll answer “all the questions” when the time is right.

If you want to follow along on Rusev’s Twitch adventures, his channel is under construction but currently active and accepting follows.
