Akira Tozawa and Kushida both picked up major wins tonight that put them one step closer to a shot at becoming the interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion.
Akira Tozawa took down Jack Gallagher to climb to 2-0 in the Cruiserweight tournament, with his next match against Fantasma promising to be a big one. As for Kushida, he took down Jake Atlas in an incredible match between two of the more athletic superstars in NXT. After the win, Kushida said that he plans on honoring the Cruiserweight Champions of the past by continuing to win.
