Matt Cardona would love to go to Japan and have an opportunity to wrestle in the Tokyo Dome.

Following his release on April 15th, 2020, Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder, now sees the world as his oyster. In an Instagram live Q&A, Cardona touched on many topics including whether or not he will be teaming with Brian Myers moving forward, getting his new theme song and ring gear prepared, and many of the places he would like to wrestle now that his time in WWE has come to an end.

One such place. Cardona would love to wrestle in Japan. He touched upon that briefly saying that he would love to not only visit Tokyo DisneySea but have an opportunity to wrestle inside of the Tokyo Dome.

“I’ve been there with WWE which was great. So many cool memories are being. But I would love to go for a more extended period of time. I’d love to wrestle in the Tokyo Dome. I’d love to go to Tokyo DisneySea, I went for a couple of minutes, a couple of hours. I’d love to go there. I love Japan. I’d love to go. I’d love to wrestle so many guys over there. I’m really looking forward to doing that and really doing whatever I want because I’ve been with WWE since I was 20 years old. I’m now 34, almost 35. That’s my entire adult life. I’ve been in one place. So now I get to do whatever I want. I’m so excited about that.”

Cardona has said in the past that he will not wrestle until the world returns to normal following the COVID-19 pandemic but he is certainly getting everything ready for the next chapter of his career.
