MMA Star Amanda Nunes Interested In Eventual WWE Run

Professional wrestling in 2020 has no shortage of former mixed martial artists finding new life in the squared circle. You have Matt Riddle tearing things up in NXT and Cain Velasquez impressing with Lucha knowhow. WWE’s women’s divisions have been dominated by the likes of Ronda Rousey and Shayna Bazler, and their success may bring more names into the fold.

One of them is Amanda Nunes, current UFC Featherweight, and Bantamweight Women’s Champion. She’s currently on a 10-fight winning streak, boasting victories over both of WWE’s MMA standouts. Needless to say, she doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon, but she did tell Sports Illustrated that wrestling is an option when she’s ready to retire.

Not right now, but maybe later when I retire. I’m open to it. Why not? I could try something new.

It seems that Shayna won’t be able to get her win back for a little while yet, but it’s more than likely that they’ll clash once again under different lights.
