Drew McIntyre Beats Andrade, Gets Curb Stomped By Seth Rollins

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre kicked off WWE RAW this week. McIntyre successfully defended the title last week, after WWE WrestleMania Part 2 went off the air, when The Big Show challenged him. McIntyre thanked the fans for their support since he won the title. He said everything has been surreal since he defeated Brock Lesnar. McIntyre then narrated a replay of his match with The Big Show. The Scottish Psychopath then issued an open challenge, and WWE United States Champion Andrade answered. Zelina Vega apologized for interrupting McIntyre’s speech, but she reminded everyone that an injury robbed Andrade of his WrestleMania moment. Vega said it’d be a shame if someone hurt McIntyre and took his title for him. McIntyre recapped how Andrade beat him back in his time in NXT. McIntyre challenged Andrade to a match later in the show. Andrade said he’s done being Mr. Nice Guy.

Angel Garza, Vega and Austin Theory accompanied Andrade to the ring for the match. McIntyre rocked Andrade with some stiff strikes early on. He drilled Andrade with a kick that sent Andrade to the outside. Garza and Theory distracted McIntyre, and Andrade took control by targeting the WWE Champion’s bicep. McIntyre rallied and rocked Andrade with a big boot. The WWE Champion sent Andrade flying onto Garza and Theory outside the ring. Vega distracted McIntyre, but he countered a DDT and slammed Andrade onto his face. A Claymore Kick earned McIntyre the win.

Garza attacked McIntyre from behind, and Seth Rollins rocked McIntyre with a superkick. Rollins then hit two Stomps on McIntyre. Rollins stared longingly at McIntyre’s title.
