Before the action gets underway, get caught up with the latest AEW “Road To” video:

Jake Roberts cuts a promo. He calls Marko an idiot for fighting Lance Archer last week. Roberts asks Cody if he is a man or a mouse.

Lance Archer vs. Allan Angels

Archer kicks Angels in the face. Angels tries to fight back ultimately Archer recovers and hits Angels with a running back elbow. Archer follows up with the Blackout for the win.

Britt Baker vs. Hikaru Shida

A very playful match with Britt Baker maintaining control in the beginning and only losing it because she bothered to talk into the camera to send a message to commentary to put her over. Shida hit a running knee lift with some of the wrestlers in the audience holding Britt Baker in place. That sends us to our first commercial of the evening.

Back from break, Baker, who is bleeding, goes for the lockjaw. Shida reverses for a two-count. Both girls go back and forth for a little while before Shida wins the match with a running knee to the face.

WINNER: Hikaru Shida

Backstage Kenny Omega is talking to Michael Nakazawa. Kenny wants them to come up with a team name. Nakazawa suggests Best Friends. Out comes Orange Cassidy, Trent, and Chuck Taylor, and they announced that if they lose the match tonight Kenny and Michael can call themselves Best Friends.

A vignette plays hyping the AEW World Championship match for next week. Jon Moxley says that they’re not in the business of putting smiles on faces. Jake Hager says he’s looking to capture the AEW World Championship and then he wants the Bellator Championship.

Kenny Omega and Michael Nakazawa vs. Best Friends

Lots of Comedy spots including maneuvers named “Mini Skirt Police,” “Hentai Slide,” and “Mongol Trail.” Kenny Omega went all the way from seven-star bouts in Tokyo to a lot of innuendo based wrestling in front of nobody. Best Friends pick up the victory with the Air Raid crash double foot stomp combo.

Winner: Best Friends
